Known Issue: BizzyAI Transcription Usage Causing Incorrect Billing - 13 June 2025

Summary

We're aware of a current issue where transcription usage is being incorrectly duplicated in some cases, resulting in increased charges.

What’s going wrong

When the transcription service is experiencing a connection issue there are multiple attempts to connect seconds apart which each have an inflated duration associated, causing inflated transcription usage and billing.

What you might notice

If you have been affected, you may see:

  • Repeated errors about "trying to reconnect while transcribing"
  • Unexpected transcription usage or charges

What we’re doing

Our Engineering team is treating this as a priority issue and are actively working on a resolution.

We’ll also:

  • Automatically apply credits to any affected accounts
  • Email account holders once the credit has been processed
