Are there any costs associated with this integration?
Zanda does not charge you to use this integration. MailChimp may charge for paid plans and services. Check MailChimp pricing to confirm which plan is right for your list size and email volume.
How do I add referrers to a MailChimp list?
Add referrers to your list by selecting the 'Referrer' option from the 'Business Contact' field when you search for clients, contacts or referrers to add to your list.
Can I use MailChimp to send booking confirmations?
Use Zanda appointment communication settings for booking confirmations. The MailChimp integration is for exporting people to MailChimp lists so you can manage marketing campaigns and MailChimp-side automations.
To send a confirmation when a new appointment is created, set a New Appointment Template in User Menu > Account Settings > Communication > Reminders. For bookings made through the Client Portal, review your Client Portal notification templates as well so clients receive the right booking message without duplicate notifications.
What happens if a client unsubscribes from my list in MailChimp?
If a client unsubscribes, they are unsubscribed only from that MailChimp list. To resubscribe them to the same list, log in to MailChimp, find the client, and delete the MailChimp record. You can then add them to the list again from Zanda.
If a client unsubscribes from a MailChimp list, they can still be added to a different MailChimp list from Zanda. To avoid sending newsletters to people who previously unsubscribed, use the same MailChimp list for each purpose. For example, use one Newsletter Subscribers list instead of creating a new list for each campaign.
A MailChimp unsubscribe does not update the Subscribe to newsletter status in Zanda. Update this status from the client's record in Zanda.
Will email addresses be automatically added to MailChimp lists?
No. Add email addresses to MailChimp lists manually through the integration. Zanda does not continuously sync MailChimp list membership when email addresses are added or removed in Zanda.
