0:05 I'm Nicole, a customer support agent here at Zanda. In this video, we'll walk you through how to use diagnosis codes in Zanda to enhance your record keeping and streamline your invoicing. Whether you're using the ICD-10 codes, DSM codes, or your own custom codes, Zanda makes it easy to manage and apply diagnosis codes across your practice. Here's what we'll cover. Diagnosis code types and lists. Applying codes to clients and invoices? Creating custom codes and hiding codes from invoices.
Setting Up Diagnosis Code Types
0:36 Let's get started. Each Zanda account comes preset with a list of ICD-10 codes. You can also add your own custom code diagnosis code types. 0:46 To do that, go to settings, session notes, and then diagnosis codes. Then go to diagnosis code types. 1:06 Click on add diagnosis code types, enter the item name and hit save. If a name already exists, check for inactive types by enabling the show inactive suite.
Managing the Diagnosis Code List
1:20 To view and manage diagnosis codes, you can go to the diagnosis code list. Use filters to search codes by name. 1:31 Description or code types. You can't edit default codes, but you can create and manage your own using the code tab.
Adding Codes to a Client Profile
1:44 To add new codes, go to a client profile. Go to records, diagnosis. Click add diagnosis, fill in the fields, and then click save. 2:01 Repeat these steps for each custom code you need. You can add a new diagnosis code to your system and use it for this client record directly from the client profile.
Using and Setting Default Diagnosis Codes
2:12 Once under add diagnosis, you can add diagnosis code. Enter the information and hit save. You can set the main diagnosis as default to apply it automatically on invoices. 2:32 Once added, a diagnosis code can't be deleted. This ensures record accuracy and audit history. Diagnosis code from the client profile appear automatically on invoices. 2:44 The default code will be applied, but you can add more from the same client's diagnosis list. On the invoice PDF, a diagnosis table lists the applied codes and descriptions. 2:57 The diagnosis column and the invoice items maps to diagnosis codes for each line. Want to record a diagnosis code, but keep it off of the invoice. 3:07 Just go to settings, billing, and invoices. Here, you'll want to find the show diagnosis on invoices. You can toggle that off, save changes, Diagnosis information will remain incline records but won't show unprinted or emailed invoices. 3:33 And that's how you manage diagnosis codes in Zanda from setup to invoices.
