Using The Quick Search To Find Clients Information

Use the Quick Search bar to look up your clients and data accociated with them and stored in your Zanda account

In this article:

Overview of the Quick Search Feature

You can use the Quick Search bar to look up your clients and data accociated with them and stored in your Zanda account, including their linked contacts, created appointments and invocies, as well as referrers and third parties.

The search results that appear are ranked based on the type of input you enter and how closely each profile matches your search term — making it quicker and more accurate to locate the correct client, especially when multiple profiles share similar details.

In short, the results are ranked based on:

  • The field that matched your search term (e.g. Client Number, Mobile, Name)
  • Whether the match is exact or partial — exact matches always appear first
  • Alphabetical order by profile name when multiple profiles are equally matched

How Search Results Are Ranked

Searching by number

When you type a number, results are ranked by field importance in the following order:

  1. Client Profile Number
  2. Client Mobile
  3. Home Phone
  4. Work Phone
  5. Client Email
  6. Preferred Client Name
  7. Client First Name
  8. Client Last Name
  9. Client Middle Name
  10. Business Name

Exact matches appear above partial matches. For example, searching "13" will show client number 13 before client number 513, and before any client who has a searchable field that contains "13".

Searching by name or text

When you type letters or a combination of letters and numbers (e.g. "Dan" or "A1"), results are ranked by field importance in the following order:

  1. Preferred Client Name
  2. Client First Name
  3. Client Last Name
  4. Client Middle Name
  5. Business Name
  6. Client Email

Exact matches appear above partial matches. For example, searching "Dan" will show a client named Dan before Daniel or Daniella.

Searching by date of birth

When you enter a date, Zanda returns all profiles matching that date of birth. These results are ordered alphabetically by profile name.

When multiple profiles match equally

If more than one profile matches on the same field with the same level of accuracy (for example, two clients share the same mobile number), results are ordered alphabetically by profile name (preferred or first name, then last name).

Tips for Faster Searching

  • Use the Client Number for the most precise result when searching by number — it is ranked first and an exact match will appear at the top of the list.
  • Use a mobile number or email to quickly distinguish between clients with similar names.
  • Use the preferred name or first name when searching by text to take advantage of the highest-ranked name fields.
